King Richard's Faire

King Richard’s Faire is New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance Festival. Tucked away on 80 acres of beautiful, enchanted forest off Rt. 58 in Carver, Mass., King Richard’s Faire now begins to prepare for its 34th season offering guests a full day of live, interactive entertainment for all ages, including new liger cubs, daring knights jousting on horseback, and eight stages filled with song and dance, stunts and storytelling. Every Saturday afternoon, the King’s Stage offers special themed contests and events to add variety to the festival-like entertainment lineup.

The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta & Yacht Race

The Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta celebrates the role of the Great Atlantic fishing bank schooner in Provincetown’s maritime history and allows visitors to experience these historic vessels in port and at sea. The Regatta shares the story of Provincetown’s place in the traditional fishing industry and of Cape Cod’s past, when commerce and transportation truly ‘ran with the wind.’ Located at the outermost tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown was the first great fishing port on the eastern seaboard dating back to the time of the Norsemen. Many of the leading fishing vessels that plied the waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans throughout America’s early maritime history called Provincetown home. At the height of the commercial fishing in the 19th century, Provincetown harbored as many as 100, 90-ton Schooners and 700 vessels.  Come learn, have fun and see one of the most unique landscapes in New England!


Killington Hay Festival

This five-week celebration of autumn in Vermont showcases a collection of 30 giant hay animals on display at businesses throughout town, as well as a variety of daily activities and weekly events. It’s the perfect event for families looking to enjoy the magic of a classic New England vacation, and couples who want to take in the foliage viewing and enjoy fireside dinners and cool, starry nights. Join the family-friendly educational scavenger hunt through the winding roads and across the mountains of Killington to find the giant hay sculptures. Get lost in the handcrafted hay maze. Brimfield Antique and Flea Market Shows

September 2-7, 2014
Brimfield, Massachusetts

The Brimfield Antiques Show is the largest outdoor antiques show in the country with over 4,500 dealers and 130,000+ visitors during the course of the week. Often referred to as “The Show,” it is actually comprised of 23 fields, owned by “Promoters,” who lease spaces to dealers from all over the world. The Show takes place three times a year.  Different fields open on different days, and run for various periods of time. The Show runs about a mile along Route 20, on both sides of the road, extending several hundred yards back from each side of the road. Most dealers opt to show their wares inside large and comfortable tents, and all fields are contiguously located next to each other, so seeing everything is an easy stroll.


Annual International Seaplane Fly-in

Hampton Beach Seafood Festival - 25th Anniversary!

Rhode Island’s Chinese Dragon Boat Races & Taiwan Day Festival

Comes see dragon boat races with professional and amateur teams, along with many artistic and other events aimed at adults and children. With the emphasis on competition and fun, the event makes an entertaining day for participants and the entire family.A dragon boat (also dragonboat) is a human-powered boat (Paddled Water Craft) traditionally made of teak wood to various designs and sizes. It is one of a family of Traditional Long Boats found throughout Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands. It is now used in the team paddling sport of dragon boat racing which originated in China over 2000 years ago.

Foreign Auto Festival & Antique Aeroplane Show

The Owls Head Transportation Museum exhibits and operates a large collection of pioneer-era aircraft, antique automobiles, engines, bicycles, carriages and motorcycles.  This event is a salute to globalization. While the theme is “Foreign”, and Porsche is the honored marque, this show is open to all pre-1994 vehicles of any make. Porsches of ANY YEAR are welcomed to exhibit! Vehicle demonstrations, Model T rides, family activities and more.


Maine Lighthouse Day

The U.S. Coast Guard, the State of Maine and the American Lighthouse Foundation join together for this annual celebration of Maine lighthouses. Over 20 lighthouses along the Maine coast will be open to visitors on this day. It’s a great family event!


Vermont Mac and Cheese Challenge!

Welcome Mac & Cheese Lovers! Thirty local restaurants will compete by preparing their best macaroni & cheese recipe, showcasing a minimum of one cheese from Vermont Farmstead Cheese Cmopany (VFCC), the state’s first community-owned dairy farm, paired with a Harpoon beer. Just $10 ($15 if purchased at the door) gets you a voting ballot and entry to event where you can sample every recipe and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. There will be Harpoon Draft Beer available for purchase, Live Music, a Calf Petting Zoo and Cow Chip Bingo. Kids under 6 get in free….rain or shine! Don’t miss it. All proceeds will go to benefit Vermont Foodbank, Sustainable Woodstock and Vermont Dairy Foundation.

Star Island Gosport Regatta

Star Island is one of the rocky, wind-swept Isles of Shoals, located off the coast of Rye, New Hampshire. Boat rides are available from Rye and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Race classes include cruising, racing, and J-24, as well as a team cup for yacht clubs entering three or more boats. Follow the race from the starting line on the M/V Thomas Laighton and come ashore in time for lunch with entertainment and best views of the finish line.

WaterFire is a highly unique public art experience that has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to Rhode Island’s creative capital city of Providence. OSRAM SYLVANIA 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
