Getting Around Boston

  • The Walking City: Boston is a city that is easy and fun to walk. The Freedom Trail provides a self-guided tour through some of America’s most famous historic sites.
  • Subway: Boston’s public transportation system is known simply as the "T." Riders need to purchase a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket. These can be purchased at every subway station from vending machines, from select convenience stores or online.
