United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Scandinavia, Japan & Australia

DNE offers marketing programs which allow New England tourism-based organizations to gain exposure to the target markets of the UK/Ireland, Germany, Scandinavia, Japan and Australia. These include participating in a DNE booth at some of the largest international travel trade shows in our core markets where companies can meet face-to-face with international tour operators and media. Australia Mission

October 1 – 7, 2017 — Discover New England will host its third sales and training mission to Australia and New Zealand. Mission will consist of product meetings and trainings with key tour operators, and multiple media & trade events. Interest from this emerging market to New England is growing and this particular mission is part of Discover New England’s strategic effort to expand the marketing mix to the region.

Cost: $2,800 per person (8 spaces available) – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses.


New York City Receptive Event 

November 2, 2017 — DNE and MOTT will host an evening networking reception where New England industry can meet New York/New Jersey-based international tour and receptive operators. Approximately 60 operators are expected to attend. New England industry will have a small table space to present/display your brochures. 

Cost: $500 per person plus travel, hotel and personal expenses. MAX 40 people.
Time: 4 p.m. set-up with event starting at 5:30 p.m.

Place: Atlantica Yacht at Chelsea Pier New York

World Travel Market – London, England

November 6 – 8, 2017 —World Travel Market (WTM) is a ‘must attend’ tour operator-only event that is fully representative of the global travel and tourism industry. It is attended by approximately 48,000 members of the travel industry each year. For the 14th consecutive year, Discover New England will coordinate the unified New England presence at WTM with our impressive 40’ x 40’ booth in a prime location. We encourage members of the New England travel industry to join us to meet and do business with representatives from the consumer and trade media, tour operators, travel agents and airlines. With the United Kingdom as the #1 source of visitors from the overseas markets into the United States, WTM is a vital component in the business of those who truly want to attract more British visitors to their property or destination.

Cost: $5,000 per person (2nd person from the same organization: $2,500) (6+ people) – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses.


Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show – Manchester (Tentative)

January 18 – 21, 2018 — Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show – Manchester is the UK's essential event for travel inspiration and is dedicated to finding you your ultimate holiday. Discover New England will have a booth again this year at the show. Maximum number of participants will be capped at four representatives. 

Cost: $2,000 per person (5+ partners) – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses.

Brochure Distribution: Cost: $500 for 200 brochures (you will be responsible for your own shipping costs)


Holiday World Show – Dublin, Ireland

January 26 – 28, 2018 — With nearly 50,000 visitors annually at this show, New England delegates have the opportunity to speak with enthusiastic consumers over three days and offer first-hand knowledge of our region. Irish consumers are interested in all aspects of travel to New England. Maximum number of participants will be capped at five representatives.

Cost: $2,000 per person (5+ partners) – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses

Brochure Distribution: Cost: $300 for 200 brochures (you will be responsible for your own shipping costs)


Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show – London (Tentative)

February 1 – 4, 2018 — Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show – London is the UK’s biggest and longest running consumer travel show. Discover New England will have a booth again this year at the show. Maximum number of participants will be capped at four representatives. 

Cost: $2,000 per person (5+ partners) – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses.

Brochure Distribution: Cost: $500 for 200 brochures (you will be responsible for your own shipping costs)


Japanese Sales Mission to Tokyo

Feb 12 – 16, 2018 — Discover New England will host a sales and training mission to Tokyo, Japan. Mission will consist of product meetings and trainings with key tour operators and media.

Cost: $2,500 per person – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses. MAX 5 people.


Scandinavian Mission

March 4 – 7, 2018 — In 2015, New England received approximately 83,000 international visitors from the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. This was almost a 19% growth over the previous year. Scandinavia is New England 6th largest international market. In spring of 2018, Discover New England will take part in a multi-day marketing initiative in the Scandinavian countries prior to the ITB trade show. There will be four components in total, including brochure distribution at Swanson’s travel show in Sweden; attendance at the FDM Travel USA Event 2017; attendance at the US Travel Show in Copenhagen; and a New England travel trade event in Stockholm. 

Members of New England’s tourism industry are invited to participate alongside Discover New England. Total cost to participate is $2500, plus travel or shipping expenses.

ITB Berlin – Berlin, Germany

March 7 – 11, 2018 — ITB Berlin – International Tourism Bourse – is the world’s largest travel and tourism industry show. ITB exhibitors and trade visitors represent all sectors of the international travel and tourism industry: Leisure, Business, Incentive, Meetings and Conventions, Health, Adventure, Education and Study. For three days, ITB is open exclusively to the trade; consumers attend on the weekend to obtain travel information and book their vacations. For the 14th year, Discover New England will host a New England booth in the Brand USA Pavilion, which gives great visibility and increased brand recognition. In 2014, some 114,000 trade visitors came to ITB. On the consumer days of the show, more than 60,000 members of the general public came to find out about the wide-ranging information on offer from exhibitors and, for the first time, consumers were able to book their vacations directly at the show. A poll among visitors revealed that one in three intended to book a trip.

Cost: $3,500 per person (2nd person from the same organization: $1,750) (6+ partners) – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses.


Japanese Sales Calls – Los Angeles, California

March 27 – 28, 2018 — Discover New England will host a mission comprised of two days of sales calls visiting 8 – 20 of the top Japanese tour operators and receptive operators in the LA area. 

Cost: $750 per person – plus travel, hotel and personal expenses. MAX 6 people.


Discover New England Annual Tourism Summit and International Marketplace – Cape Cod, Massachusetts

April 22 – 24, 2018 — The Discover New England Annual Tourism Summit and International Marketplace is the only New England travel trade event where New England hospitality businesses are able to meet directly with international tour operators and receptive operators who arrange trips for tens of thousands of international travelers annually.

Registration will open on November 1, 2017
Early Bird Rate $650 per person (November 1, 2017 – February 1, 2018)
Exhibitor Table Early Bird Rate $1,050. (includes one person registration) (November 1, 2017 – February 1, 2018)
