Massachusetts

Pilgrims, Paul Revere, the Boston Tea Party… The beautiful Bay State is rich with America’s heritage and visitors can experience much of it first-hand. At Plimoth Plantation, time has stopped in the year 1627 and this living history museum is a wonderful, interactive way to learn how the early settlers lived. North of Boston, the town of Salem is infamous for the Witch Trials of 1692, and the great city of Boston is where revolutionaries boldly destroyed the British merchant’s tea shipment leading to the beginning of the American Revolution. While Boston is home to much of the nation’s early history, it has amazing cultural icons, as well. The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, The Boston Children’s Museum, The Boston Museum of Science and the impressive New England Aquarium are all found within the city.

When you’re ready to relax, Massachusetts has it all, from the beauty of western Massachusetts’ forests and mountains to the sandy beaches of Cape Cod to the popular island communities on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Seafood is plentiful and families can have fun on the sea whale watching or simply relaxing on the hundreds of pristine beaches.
